To conclude I will rank top 10 defenses and offenses for GW1, as a suggestion point I will use the sum of the defensive and offensive output of opposing teams, but I will also very strongly consider the current form and level of the leagues when making my decision.
Defenses
1. Bayen Munich- with all of their defensive assets fit and Javi Garcia added to their squad I think they are the likeliest option for a CS
2. Arsenal FC- With Montpellier struggling in Ligue 1 and Arsenal showing excellent defensive form I would not be surprised to see them grab a CS here despite the away fixture
3.Barcelona- There is some reason to be careful here with Puyol out inured and Alba possibly missing out with a Virus but a home game against a struggling Spartak Moscov is still a very good bet for a CS.
4.PSG- Thiago Silva looks set to make his debut against Dynamo Kyiv and Kyiv aren't banging the goals in in their local league either.
5. Manchester United- With questionable defensive form in the PL and a very attacking Galatasaray team as an opponent, the Man United defenders will have their work cut out for them. But I think they might just get it done.
6.Borussia Dortmund- They are a strong defense, but fell so far mainly due to the ability of Ajax to put the ball in the net. I see a 3-1 win here for Borussia
7.Shaktar Donetsk- they have impressive form in the Ukrainian league and if Norsjaelland is not the next Basel than they could keep the CS without any mayor problems.
8 and 9 SC Braga and CFR 1907 Cluj I can see this being a low scoring draw so 0:0 could be on the cards.
10. Real Madrid- despite the horrible form I still expect them to motivate themselves for CL and pull off a 1-0 win here.
Offenses
1. FC Barcelona- at home against the leaky Spartak
2. Mancester United- at home against an even leakier Galatasaray
3. Borussia Dortmund- Home game vs very leaky Ajax
4. Bayern Munchen- Home game and impressive form against a struggling Valencia
5. PSG- Home game against a weak Dynamo side, but their own questionable offensive form ranks them down here
6. Shaktar Donetsk- Very good form and a possibly easy home game, hard to tell where the goals will come from though.
7. Arsenal FC- Good form and against a struggling Montpellier side- but I wont get over exited after they run rampant against a horrible Southampton. They still are not a very high scoring side, and the goals could come from anywhere.
8. Benfica- Great fixture and form but playing away against a decent home side
9. AC Milan- Great fixture, but horrible form in Serie A so far.
10. Really impossible to make the difference between the rest
